The parts listed below are a sample of my stock, a mixture of original Meccano-produced items and brand new reproduction parts. I usually have other bits and pieces, especially of the more common items. Obviously the stock comes and goes, so if you have specific requirements, let me know, or add my home page www.mtrains.co.uk to your favourites and come again later.
The prices shown include postage and packing within the UK. If you want more than one item, a multiple purchase discount of 75p will be deducted off every item after the first. This price list includes clickable links to large photos of every item. To keep costs down, the prices shown are for payment by cheque, bank transfer “Faster Payments”, or PO within the UK.
To purchase any of these items, just let me know by e-mail which you are interested in. Once we have agreed the order, I will acknowledge it and invoice you by e-mail, and then reserve the item(s) for you until payment is received.
Although the majority of customers are within the United Kingdom, a good number are overseas - Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand, the Republic of Ireland, South Africa, Spain and the United States. If you are outside Great Britain, please contact me for a quote for Postage & Packing / Shipping & Handling and to agree the methods of payment.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY TIMES:
The 7 - 10
day international deliveries we used to get are now a thing of the past.
Recent reports from customers, plus comments from post office staff, suggest
that realistic delivery timescales for international packages are:
UNITED STATES: Packets to the USA usually seem to be taking 6 - 8 weeks.
It's now reasonably well known that packets (not letters) sent into the USA are
being delayed by security/customs checks, waiting for freight-only flights, etc.
AUSTRALIA: Several dispatches from the United Kingdom in late-March / early-April took 6 - 7 weeks to arrive, but more recent ones seem to have improved to 3 - 4 weeks. This seems to be a problem with packets rather than letters.
EUROPE:
these still seem to be the normal one week or so.
These are not guaranteed times, but what you ought to expect. I suppose that
small unusual machine parts must arouse the suspicions of customs/security
officers!
I’m still happy to supply abroad, and will happily email you a Proof of Posting for your order, but if you’re outside Europe you must be aware of the need to be patient if you do order. Packages aren’t getting lost, but they are often being very slow indeed.

Slight signs of damp around the safety valves. The paintwork, nameplates and decals would be very good (plus) except that it's been picked up at some point by someone with matt white and matt pale grey/green paint on their hands (inevitably it's not water-soluble). This has affected the top of the boiler and smokebox and the left hand cabside. If you can get the paint off, the body is excellent (minus). £21.45. |

Structurally it's in good condition, with no cracks or damage other than very short cracks radiating from the screw hole and only visible from the inside of the body. Firstly, when it came to me it had very badly distorted coal. I have removed that and am supplying it with repro polyurethane coal (unused). You'll need to glue them together however. Also, the "Eagle" comic had many really interesting big drawings of all sorts of railway operations in the 1950's, just the right vintage for Hornby Dublo. I have taken lots of photos of these, and, since they don't appear to be anywhere else on the internet, have published them as well. They show how the locomotives, equipment and operations worked in a straightforward way, usually using cutaway drawings. If you haven't seen them before, I hope they give you as much fun as they did me.
